Norman Doidge, M.D., is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, researcher, author, essayist and poet. He is on the Research Faculty at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, in New York, and the University of Torontos Department of Psychiatry.  He is a four time recepient of Canadas National Magazine Gold Award. Sharon Begley, science columnist for The Wall Street Journal , inaugurated the paper's "Science Journal" in 2002. She was previously the senior science writer at Newsweek, covering neuroscience, genetics, physics, astronomy, climatology and anthropology.

The co-author of the 2002 book The Mind and the Brain, she has won many awards for her articles and an honorary degree for contributions to the public understanding of science. Share
